Trinii’s faux denim duster

Solo by Kim Hargreaves, looks like a lil denim jacket, ‘cept I made it longer so it worked like a duster, and I could add some cables at the bottom. My niece grew out of this so fast, but I really like the blue denim color, so it was all worth it. Also, I learned later that I should have put some ribbon or tape on the inside of the button band to make it lie flat. It really curled back as you can see in the picture. I wish I got a better photo of the modified pattern at the time, but she’s such a cutie that makes up for it.

Triniti’s Wrap Shirt

Here’s the wrap shirt I made for Trinnii to replace the preemie one. I sized it with 1 year old measurements so I didn’t have to rush. 🙂 The purple yarn is Sidhar Snowflake, and the trim is Rainbow Mills Crayon’s Lite left over from making Anita’s baby’s hat. Both yarns are cotton. It’s midsummer now, but when I put it on her front to see how much more she had to grow to fit into it, she grabbed it tight and smiled. It’s a really soft yarn, and maybe she already knows purple is her color. She should be able to start wearing it in the fall. Hope to add a picture of her in it. She’s too cute!
